YOUR HELP IS NEEDED:
Volunteers are needed for the Peer Review Committee.
Job description: Formulate criteria for accepting sites, and decide whether submitted sites meet the criteria. This would ideally be done weekly for the first four weeks, via email, and probably monthly after that.
Volunteers needed to create book lists.
Job description: Create criteria for books to be listed, and then create a bibliography of books in three or four major categories and can have separate volunteers for each category: books for/by/about adoptees; for/by/about original parents; for/by/about adoptive parents and general adoption books. (Subheadings can be added within those categories such as memoirs etc,)
Please use the contact form to volunteer, submit, and share your thoughts, suggestions and ideas.
ARC: the NOT DOT COM!
Resources supporting the goals of family preservation and ethical adoption
Currently, the word "adoption" yields far too many commercial sites and the word “birthmother” (even birthmother support) yields businesses marketing to meet a demand, touting adoption and offering incentives.
ARC accepts no advertising, donations, links or listings from individuals or business that place children for adoption or support such businesses. Avoidance of such advertisers or listing helps us provide the most honest, impartial information free of any commercial influence.
The only acceptable ads will be from approved and listed organizations, books, videos and films, etc. that support the goals of this website: family preservaiton and ethical adoption.
Sites and links will be peer reviewed as to appropriateness and fitness with the goal of the site. Contact us to volunteer to be on the Peer Review Committee, which will set criteria and make selections.
Who Benefits From ARC?
- All non-profit adoption reformers who want to drive traffic to their websites, blogs. articles, etc...
- All who utilize the site for personl edification or research
